The Brain's Networks

An international workshop with this name took place in Gothenburg on September 18-20, 2015. It was hosted by the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology at the University of Gothenburg, and arranged in cooperation with MedTech West and the Center for Cognitive Medicine. The current homepage of the workshop contains links to the Powerpoint presentations by the invited speakers, as well as to the posters.

The invited lectures and the general discussion were video filmed. If and when I get the time to edit some of the films, they will of course be put here.

Two follow-up lectures of interest are here:

Deep Learning
Dr. Richard Dybowski, Senior Research Associate (Mathematical & Computational Biology) at the University of Cambridge, lectures on "Deep Learning for Analysis of Medical Images". Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, 13 May 2016. Most of the discussion after the lecture is also included. The lecture was filmed in full HD from the auditorium with a single camera (Panasonic GH4 with Röde Videomic Pro). There is some initial trouble with image and sound, and just before 28 minutes a few seconds are missing.

Bayesian Networks

Richard Dybowski, Cambridge University, lectures on "Bayesian Networks and Big Data". Department of Applied Information Technology, Gothenburg University and Chalmers University of Technology, 20 March 2017. Picture and sound: Panasonic GH4 with Vimeo Videomic Pro. The sound is regrettably somewhat disturbed during the first minute.
